Catherine Pearson 1775

Hello,

I have researched my family tree, with Johnsons and Towses the most recent generations. My DNA has matched with a Canadian lady whose tree has no ancestors that match with mine. However, one branch of her tree is local, with Hannah Shepherd (1843-1917) and George Ireland (1841-1917) of Weaverthorpe.

Following them back I found a common surname of Pearson, with Matthew Pearson b. 1781 and Judith Fairbotham b. 1786, both in Nafferton. I have a Catherine Pearson b. 1775 who married Jonathan Foster, b. 1764 in Skipsea. I cannot trace further back than these.

Has anyone researched these people, please, and could identify earlier family members? Perhaps there’s another family link?

Grateful for any help! I live in Kent now so cannot easily do local research.
