Blanchard, Mary

Post by dinnewell » Sun Sep 05, 2004 12:44 pm

I am trying to trace the ancestors of Mary Blanchard (1788-1854) born in Burstwick. I know Mary's mother was called Elizabeth and she died in 1842.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

To add to Sarah's reply.
Mary Winter Blanchard did marry John Hardbattle (his 2nd wife)in Lund on 28 7 1888, so farr as I know they had 8 children and they 'lost' 4 children. She died 28.2.1934 in Smethwich. I have all the childrens names if you want them.

Dear Sir/Madam. I note your interest in Mary Blanchard and my wife is directly related to Mary and her husband Richard Webster- I only noticed this site recently, hence this late response. Ironically I am due to visit Withernwick to look in depth at the Blanchard,Webster and Harsley families plus others with connections to the family. The family of Webster is well documented hopefully and I will see what I can find for both you and ourselves.
I have found the Blanchard line difficult to track and all I know is that Mary as you say was born at Skeckling-with-Burstwick circa 1788,married Richard Webster 1806 at Hedon-her father was I believe Thomas Blanchard and her mother you believe to be Elizabeth. I have incomplete notes for some reason with this line of family but have a note to the effect that her parents may have married 17th July 1787 at Burton Pidsea which is in the proper area I feel.
I will let you know as to results after mid-September visit and feel that as the Webster family were so prominent in the village of Withernwick a good deal should be available.
I am not sure as to whether this site is easy to access,I an not too good with computers,so if you wish please contact me at -------denis41.brown@mypostoffice.co.uk or if not use this site and I see how we get on via this site.
Yours. Denis Brown.
