john wardell was born in langtoft in 1844 to elizabeth wardell.

Elizabeth Wardell married matthew hobson in the final quarter of 1845.

john took the name hobson wardell and lived in cranswick for ever - well till 1919. (as outlined by peter 6 previously)

marrying my cousin four times removed mary hannah potter and others along the way.

john's third wife was fanny elizabeth barnes. who is your antecedent.

elizabeth wardell and matthew hobson had at least three other children. george, thomas and mary ann hobson.
