Hello Roy:

My connection toAnn Mentoft who married Samuel Barker, is that she is the sister to my 3xgreatgrandmother Isabella Mentoft who married William Savage. I Agree with Ian that Ellen Barker and William Foster did not have any children. I have a copy of the will of George Herbert Hodgson who left 30 pounds to Ellen and William Foster who were his aunt and uncle. I noticed on the 1911 census Ellen and William have a grandson William Foster Thompson living with them. do you know who his parents are?

I live in British Columbia Canada now.

Cheers
Anne

I have William Foster Thompson (b. c1890 Hull) as the son of William Thompson and Sarah Mary Foster, who married in 1889 in Sculcoates District, Hull. Sarah Mary Foster (bapt. 20 Aug 1863 Driffield) is the eldest daughter of William Owston Foster and his first wife, Ann Westerman.
