have seen the robin hood beer house at hutton cranswick mentioned on several census returns, from the late 19th century, and have narrowed it down to being on main street. anybody give me a clue to its exact location and if anything remains of it.

Hi Stephen.

The Robin Hood Beer House is on the Main St as surmised. It is down towards the bottom of the village - nearly opposite the Pack Horse Pub.
The house itself is situated on the corner of a cul de sac called Glenholme Court.
It's the largest house adjoining the cottages - number 44 i believe. At one time it was a Farmhouse complete with small farm yard.
Now, like so many others it has been developed.

Hope this helps.
