Driffield has had a cricket club since the 1850's - a good one at that - if you are trying to trace this man, may i suggest the 1901/1911 census and also the newspaper archive of the Driffield Times, found on Find My Past, which often reported in great detail the cricket matches etc

The history of the cricket club and the various clubs it evolved from, are written up by Peter Howorth in his book "East Yorkshire Cricket 1778 - 1914'

Slightly to one side of this topic, but is there any mention in the book of my grandfather, Henry Boult? I understand he used to be involved in Cycling and in Cricket in Hull. I know very little about either of these of his interests, though believe he used to umpire cricket. Is the book even in print or, if not, what is the likely availability?

Thanks for any information.
