BESWICK CHURCH

Postby Kado » Tue Aug 28, 2012 1:43 pm

I understand there was an old church in Beswick which was replaced in 1871. Does anybody have a photo of the old church as a lot of my family would have been baptised in that church?

Any help or information would be appreciated.

Still looking but the church built in 1871 was built over a medieval church that had a thatched roof.

Thanks for your help Plook, thats brilliant. It's some of the Escritts that were christened there but when we visited we didn't realise there was an earlier church.

Thanks again.

Hi Plook,
Yes we've had contact on the Escritt Board. Did you ever sort out William from Hutton Cranswick who was buried in 1831 aged 82 according to parish records?
Also, can you tell me where Mary Escritt 1793 married William Robson?
Thanks again.
