PUBS

Post by andy14976 » Fri Jan 17, 2014 9:23 am

I'd really like a photograph of the former 'George and Dragon' pub in North Dalton, especially if contemporaneous. One of my ancestors was licensee, one of several across England, and the George is the only picture missing from my collection at present. If anyone has one and can share, please let me know.

If you google images and put in The George and Dragon "north Dalton" Public House you will see pictures of pubs the first on is the George and Dragon at North Dalton. Its the only picture I can find on line.

Well, I've tried google images, and I can't find one of the G&D North Dalton. I can see it on google maps, with the nearby bus stop, but no downloadable image. What am I doing wrong??

There was two pubs in North Dalton the Star and the George and Dragon 1829
I Googled North Dalton went to Bus Stops and there was one located at the old George and Dragon which is now a private dwelling. I went to Google Maps and Street View and located the only building with a bus stop out side.

file:///C:/Users/Public/Documents/B1246%20-%20Google%20Maps%20Old%20George%20and%20Dragon.htm

I dont know if this will open but if not have a go with street view- its a brick , Georgian building with an extention of different coloured brick -front door is blue.
