Moving to Duggleby

Postby norfy » Thu Jul 07, 2011 4:58 pm

My husband & I are in the process of buying a house in Duggleby & can't wait to move. We currently live in Kent in a spralling town & long for the country life & to be nearer to our daughter & 3 grandchildren, who live in a village near Helmsley.
Does anyone know if there has been any problems with the ditch/stream in Salents Lane flooding?
More importantly can anyone get a mobie phone signal? We're with O2 & couldn't get sausage!
Is it necessary to have a 4x4 in winter, or are the roads passable for the bog standard car?
We look forward to your replies.

I don't know if Dougglby Floods because I don't live there but it is fairly isolated village in the heart of the wolds. I would use a 4x4 in winter up her the weather changes in 50' Driffield and Malton re your nearest market towns. Its a nice village with a good community spirit.

I hope your move goes well and you are very happy.
