Compared to North Yorkshire House prices are much less. When we bought our first house inflation was 15% and it took a long time and sacrifices to save up but that what you did then. Now the government is trying to stimulate the economy and young people especially are able to purchase their own homes-now this is stimulating house prices to rise and the Bank of England is going to control it! In the mean time landowners and builders jump on the bandwagon and get as many homes built per hectare very very small gardens low ceilings and has many cost savings as possible, These homes as previously described are not fit for purpose but someone must have approved the planning and the building regulations like the Town Council and ERYC Planning Department. People that move from the South of England and from the West Riding up to the East Riding find that they can make a substantial
profit. Sorry about Swindon.
