Looking for R Porter

I record metal detecting finds, working at the ARC at York every Thursday. We have a metal detectorist from Beverley his name Jack Cooper he has a lead plaque inscribed R Porter Driffield probably from some goods produced in the area 1800's. does anyone know anything about ourMr Porter so we can pproduce an information sheet.

Dee, do you have any more info on those Porters? A William Porter of Driffield was my 3g grandfather. Could he have been the son of the Blue Bell William? My 2g grandfather was Thomas who lived on the canal,

My Porters go back to Francis Porter c1600 and include William and his brothers.
