Post by DriffieldOnline » Wed Oct 13, 2010 10:22 pm

Yorkshire Wolds Railway Restoration Project - Next Meeting

Keith Crabtree from the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust will be giving a presentation on Britain's newest mainline steam locomotive “Tornado” in Driffield.

Covering everything from conception in 1990 to running on the mainline at 75mph. Tornado is now surely one of Britain's most famous steam locomotives, and this presentation will appeal equally to those with an interest in railways and those who enjoy a great story!

The talk is on Thursday 4th November 2010 at the Driffield Showground, Members Pavilion and starts at 7:30pm.
Entrance is £5 per person for non-members and £3 for members and concessions.

There will also be the chance to find out more about the Yorkshire Wolds Railway and talk to the committee.

Everyone is welcome.

We look forward to seeing you there!
