Who is responsible for maintaining the cemitary , round the Church and in the adjacent patch . It is currently a discrace though the grass was cut for the Village in bloom competition. The Parish Council say that its not up to them and the Pherocial Church councel tell the Parish council that they have no money to do it. In the meantime its up to individual families to do their best and compromise their health and safety. Surely the Church of England has enough money to maintain their grounds. Nafferton is not the only cemitary that is a discrace. For goodness and decencies sake get organised and do something. Ensure the upkeep of the cemitary is in the local village plans.

As far as the grass goes, put a few sheep in there. Seriously, where we used to live as children in our village, they plugged any holes in the hedge or fence around the graveyard and had few sheep in there. Made a lovely job of keeping the grass neat and tidy!
