Tourism is very important to the rural economy and to allow people to experience East Yorkshire the link to Driffield is by Road or rail but in the past the most important route to Hull was by canal unfortunately for a number of years this route has been obstructed by the Wansford -Skern bridge. What could be nicer then to come from Beverley or Hull to Driffield via the canal. It is therefore suggested that Driffield Council lobbies East Riding of Yorkshire Council Highways Department to reconfigure the bridge to allow barges to come up to Driffield.

About us

The Driffield Online Forum was started in 2002 as a means for people in the area to keep in touch and up to date with what was going on. Furthermore, it has grown into a valuable genealogy resource which we are keen to encourage as well as our original aims.
