Anyone out their who recalls those days I remember a few teachers viz Mrs Senior, Miss Dorothy Watson, Headmaster Mr Duke, Happy days despite the war years, In left at age 13 for the Hull Tech., 2 years then after apprentice ship in Hull went off to Sea (Junior Engineer) did 10 years at Sea then worked ashore till retirement to Dorset married a lovely Brid Lass 2 children & 5 grandchildren, I lived in New road next door to Mrs Fletcher who ran a petrol pump & sold goodies. Hello Steve - yes, I remember it well. I also remember the small shop and petrol pumps in Exchange Steet. I left the school in 1947 for the Bridlington Grammar School.. I remember Mr Dukes very well and also Miss Galtry, who is still in the town. Nice to hear from you. I do vaguely remember the name. We lived in Harper Street.
