Could someone please discribe how close to the North Sea Garton is?
The only map I have is indistinct, showing Garton as a small dot,
slightly inland and north of Withersea. Any information would be appreciated. Or if you could direct me to finding online maps that would also help.

Garton is about a mile inland as the crow flies, you might want to try the 'get mapping' website, that will probably show it.

Please be aware that there is another Garton in East Yorkshire,

The Parish of East Garton, which also includes the hamlets of Fitling and Grimston, has a population of 193 (1991 Census) an increase of 3 since 1981. The settlement of East Garton is located on the B1242 between Hornsea to Withernsea. The settlement has an essentially open rural character dominated by agricultural activities with the Church of St Michael as its main feature.

There is also Garton on the Wolds (known as Garton locally) - on the A166 about 15 miles from Bridlington
