Hi, I'm trying to find some information on a relative of mine.
WILF SANDBERG. He lived, ironically, in Wilfhome and worked on a farm owned by the Dearing family; this would be in the 1950’s. After the farm was sold he then continued to live on the site, first on a boat moored on the river Hull and later moving into a caravan, still on the site of the farm. We believe the house/farm was also a public house called the Three Jolly Tars. Wilf died in 1975 in the caravan aged around 55. We also understand he had a son who lived in Beverley and was a cattle drover for the cattle market. One of his friends was called Jack and he too lived in Beverley.
If anyone has information on Wilf it would be great. He was one of life’s characters!

| The Beachells and the the Dugglebys are still farming families in nearby Beswick - a simple phone call might suffice? |

| Many thanks for the information. It will give me a starting point to work from. Contacting some of the farmers might prove useful as it would be great to find someone who actually knew him. |
