Looking for connections to John &/or Christopher Johnson of Hutton Cranswick.
Christopher's son William who moved to Weaverthorpe & married twice to Marry Ireland in 1801, then Ellis Robson in 1827.
John Johnson married Ann Walker in 1843 in Hutton Cranswick & had 8 children. Christopher mentioned above was one of those children.
I would be interested in connecting with any descendants from these families.
These families married into the Levitt, Topham, Wharwick, Peckston, & Walker families.
These families lived their lives in Yorkshire & in or near by both Hutton Cranswick &/or near Weaverthorpe areas.

| hiya bill, mary johnson born 1744 in hutton cranswick is a direct ancestor she is john and anns daughter mary is my gggggg grandmother her g granddaughter hannah levitt married into the collinson family of driffield bridlington and the wolds of which i am descended im researching my family tree and i have a page on the levitt and johnson family it is in its infancy but any help i can give you i will. rob |

Good evening. From research by family members, I know I have an ancestor John Levitt who lived in Hutton Cranswick and married a Mary Johnson. John is my GGGGG grandfather, and his dad was also called John, born 1710. I am guessing that Hannah was the sister of my GG granddad Cooper Levitt. I would be very interested in seeing any results you have on the Levitts.

hiya steve,
my earliest ancestor i can find up to now on the levitts is my gggggggg grandfather a one john levitt born 1682 who married alice linton approx 1705 this family orignally came from watersreach in cambridgeshire john their son married a one francis mainprize the levitt family settled in n/s dalton area until they moved to bainton just down the road from n/s dalton my gggggg grandfather john grandson of the above married mary johnson from hutton cranswick and she is the daughter of john johnson and ann walker both of hutton cranswick this line continues down to hannah who married into the collinsons i know of at least 15 or so levitt children all brothers and sisters of these people and i know of three people who have contacted me and are distant levitt relations if you need dates i can give you a few but im still learning to any info can find i can mail you rob |
